With over 20 years of experience as a player, college coach, and mentor, Kristy Norton is a proven leader in the softball community. From guiding teams to championships to developing individual athletes, Norton combines her wealth of knowledge and passion to inspire young women, parents, and coaches at every level of the game.
As the former Head Coach at UNCW, Norton led the Seahawks to their first-ever CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, while establishing a culture of excellence, accountability, and mental toughness. Under her leadership, the program achieved school-record performances, including a 1.85 ERA, over 300 strikeouts, and a nationally recognized aggressive base-running strategy. Norton’s ability to build both team success and individual growth resulted in multiple All-CAA, NFCA All-Region, and Player-of-the-Year honors for her athletes.

Norton’s success stems from her own playing career as a standout second baseman at UNC Greensboro, where she set program records for starts and ranks among the all-time leaders in hits, doubles, and RBIs. Following her playing days, Norton served as a coach at James Madison University, helping lead the Dukes to their first CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament berth while developing one of the top offenses in the nation.
Norton’s deep understanding of the game—paired with her passion for empowering female athletes—makes her a sought-after softball consultant and mindset coach. Her ability to teach critical life skills like mental toughness, communication, and confidence has helped countless athletes, parents, and coaches thrive both on and off the field.
